Services at the Center Hospitalier du Nord (CHDN)

Inpatient treatment of acute heart conditions:

For acute cardiovascular conditions, we offer comprehensive diagnostics and state-of-the-art treatment to the highest medical standards.

Investigation of syncope:

Through targeted examinations, we investigate the causes of fainting spells, dizziness or brief loss of consciousness.

Tilt table test:

This specialised procedure aids in the diagnosis of circulatory regulation disorders and unexplained syncope.

Transoesophageal echocardiography (TEE):

This ultrasound examination via the oesophagus provides particularly detailed insights into the heart valves and cardiac structures.

12-lead long-term ECG:

An extended cardiac rhythm monitoring procedure for the precise detection of complex or rare arrhythmias.

Dobutamine stress echocardiography:

This stress test enables the assessment of cardiac perfusion even in patients who are unable to tolerate physical exertion.

Pacemaker implantation:

We implant state-of-the-art pacemaker systems to treat abnormally slow heart rhythms and conduction disorders.

Cardiac MRI:

Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging provides a state-of-the-art, radiation-free visualisation of the heart for precise diagnosis.

Cardiac Oncology Centre:

Interdisciplinary care for patients with cancer and associated cardiovascular conditions.

Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation:

Outpatient cardiac rehabilitation helps patients who have suffered a heart attack, undergone heart surgery or have other serious cardiovascular conditions to safely and sustainably rebuild their physical fitness. The aim is to stabilise heart health, reduce risk factors and improve quality of life in the long term – with close medical supervision and a personalised approach.

Sports cardiology:

In sports cardiology, we advise and examine patients with regard to their physical capacity, training and sporting activity in the context of existing or past heart conditions. This includes performance diagnostics, risk assessment and safe reintegration into recreational and competitive sport. The aim is to make targeted use of exercise as part of cardiac therapy whilst ensuring maximum safety.

Spiroergometry:

Spiroergometry is a modern test used to assess the performance of the heart, lungs and metabolism during physical exertion. It involves precisely measuring the composition of exhaled gases during a controlled exercise test.

The test enables a precise assessment of physical performance limits and helps to distinguish between cardiac, pulmonary or exercise-related causes of symptoms experienced during exercise.

Close collaboration with the INCCI

Through close cooperation with the INCCI (Institut National de Chirurgie Cardiaque et de Cardiologie Interventionnelle) we can offer our patients comprehensive care across the entire spectrum of modern cardiac medicine.

Interdisciplinary care at the highest level

Through close networking between practice, hospital and INCCI, we ensure seamless care, short distances and optimal treatment according to the latest scientific standards.

ICD and CRT implantation:

Modern defibrillator and resynchronization systems help prevent life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias and improve cardiac performance.

Coronary angiography and interventional cardiology:

If necessary, further diagnostics and treatment of coronary artery constrictions are carried out using cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures in close cooperation with the specialists of the INCCI.

Structural heart diseases and valve therapies:

Patients with heart valve diseases benefit from individual assessment and state-of-the-art interventional or surgical treatment options.

Cardiac surgery:

For surgical treatments on heart valves, coronary arteries or the aorta, there is a direct connection to the cardiac surgery experts of the INCCI.
